Going GUI: Best Practices for Designing a Graphical User Interface May 2006

If you are in the process of transforming your COBOL application’s character-based screens into graphical user interfaces (GUIs), we have the Webinar for you. Going GUI: Best Practices for Designing a Graphical User Interface will provide you with an overview of some uncommon GUI controls, such as the Web browser, status bar, and date controls. In addition to learning more about these controls, you’ll receive helpful hints for modernizing your application with a GUI.

Regarding Manifest Files: Please be aware that Acucorp does not support the use of a manifest file with ACUCOBOL-GT®. This is due to several control display limitations. Known limitations are particularly evident when using tab controls or the grid control; however, you may also encounter other limitations. As a result, if you use the manifest file, please be aware that Acucorp Technical Support will be unable to assist you with any display problems.
